This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Ensure immaculate maintenance of driver qualification files, hours-of-service audits, and inspection documentation.
• Create, enhance, and implement safety policies and procedures within designated districts.
• Conduct comprehensive accident and incident investigations, including root-cause analysis and corrective-action implementation, while collaborating with insurers and regulatory bodies.
• Develop and conduct training programs for CDL Class B drivers, addressing HAZMAT and Tanker endorsement prerequisites, VR simulations, fatigue management, and quarterly refreshers.
• Enhance telematics and ELD systems (e.g., Samsara) by creating enterprise dashboards, leveraging predictive analytics, and initiating organization-wide coaching initiatives.
• Work alongside the Fleet team on new truck configurations, detailing advanced safety features (Level 1/2 ADAS, collision avoidance) and verifying OEM/vendor compliance.
• Ensure adherence to FMCSA, DOT, EPA, and state regulations, leading audit preparedness and regulatory inspections.
• Monitor and report safety KPIs—TRIR, MCSR, accident frequency/severity, near-miss ratios—offering actionable insights to executives.
• Organize proactive hazard-identification workshops and align operations teams with real-time performance metrics.
• Design and oversee incentive programs that acknowledge safe driving practices and lower turnover rates.
• Collaborate with Linde Risk Management, Legal, and Global SHEQ on major-incident planning, citations, and public relations strategies.
• Test next-generation safety technologies (in-cab AI coaching, lane-departure mitigation, ELD enhancements) to proactively minimize incidents.
• Provide insights on emerging trends—electric vehicle safety, autonomous readiness, sustainability metrics—and incorporate them into the long-term strategy.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, engineering, business, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Over 5 years of progressive experience in transportation safety or fleet compliance.
• Demonstrated knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations, HAZMAT management, and large-scale audit oversight.
• Proven background in training CDL Class B drivers, including HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
• Expertise in Samsara or similar telematics/ELD systems at an enterprise level.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), OSHA 30, or an equivalent certification is preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification is preferred.
• Exceptional strategic thinker capable of translating data insights into organization-wide initiatives.
• Strong leadership, communication, and presentation abilities, with experience presenting to senior management.
