Case Manager, Liability, Evidence & Claims

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Initiate insurance claims with all pertinent carriers (liability, UM/UIM, medical payments), dispatch letters of representation, acquire claim numbers and adjuster assignments, and oversee ongoing communication with carriers, including follow-up on acknowledgments.

• Prepare and submit FOIA and public records requests to law enforcement agencies, state departments, and municipal offices; monitor the status of requests, escalate issues with unresponsive agencies, and ensure the timely acquisition of police reports, supplemental narratives, dash/body camera footage, and 911 call recordings.

• Solicit and track medical records, witness testimonies, scene photographs, and other critical evidence; establish systematic follow-up procedures to guarantee prompt receipt and highlight non-responsive parties for escalation.

• Perform liability assessments based on police reports, witness accounts, and scene evidence; evaluate fault distribution, comparative negligence risks, and evidentiary deficiencies; compile detailed case packages for lead paralegals to formulate settlement demands.

• Examine workflow inefficiencies in the evidence collection and case setup procedures, identify automation prospects, and execute process enhancements to decrease the cycle time from intake to demand-ready status.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess prior experience in personal injury pre-litigation.

• Demonstrated experience in drafting and managing FOIA/public records requests and procuring police reports across various jurisdictions.

• Proven experience in initiating claims, producing all coverage-related documentation, and maintaining relationships with insurance providers.

• Skilled in conducting liability analysis and organizing evidence (police reports, photographs, videos, witness statements) into case-ready packages.
