This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Engagement Manager (EM) will oversee and support the Higher Education Democracy Exchange (HEDEX) platform.
• This role reports to the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Campus Compact.
• The HEDEX Engagement Manager will collaborate closely with both Compact and AAC&U staff members to engage with external partners, expand and nurture the HEDEX subscriber base, implement HEDEX communication strategies, and facilitate the continued growth and development of the platform.
• Enhance and sustain the platform's digital footprint, which includes social media, email newsletters, and content distribution channels, by sourcing pertinent industry news and curating captivating content to stimulate audience growth.
• Work in close partnership with the Director of Strategic Initiatives and other essential stakeholders to implement a communication strategy aimed at increasing user engagement for HEDEX.
• Oversee the daily coordination and execution of the platform's operations.
• Act as the operational Point of Contact (POC) to advance platform tasks.
• Assist in monitoring metrics and aligning the budget.
• Proven experience in civic engagement networks or projects.
• Experience in representing work publicly, whether in person or in digital environments.
• Project management experience at any level involving multiple stakeholders.
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and exceptionally organized.
• Ability to transform ideas into actionable steps, driving progress in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• A strong team player who approaches work with confidence, capable of leading projects, organizing team efforts, and resolving challenges.
• Thrives in a fast-paced setting and is adept at managing competing priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities and the capacity to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• A proficient writer comfortable communicating directly with Compact and AAC&U members, partners, event attendees, and other audiences.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related technologies; familiarity with project management software and tools is preferred.
• Experience in identifying, synthesizing, and summarizing research findings.
• A solid understanding of civic engagement, democratic participation, social responsibility, and community engagement initiatives within higher education is ideal.
