This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Oversee and manage all operational components of Logistics within the designated region.
• Ensure that local Logistics teams assess the performance of transportation providers and hold them accountable for various metrics, including but not limited to on-time performance, cost, and customer service satisfaction.
• Hold primary responsibility at the assigned regional level for network costs, which includes reviewing and controlling average costs per trip, average costs per mile, and other cost-related metrics to adhere to budgeted transportation expenses across managed territories.
• Drive initiatives for cost containment through innovative suggestions.
• Provide organizational support.
• Lead the Logistics Team in the retention and recruitment of the existing network to ensure comprehensive geographic and mode coverage.
• Guide the Logistics Team in field monitoring and the issuance of performance improvement plans (PIP) for underperforming transportation providers.
• Ensure that transportation providers (TP) receive adequate education and training in line with MTM and contract-specific requirements.
• Ensure TPs comply with all necessary requirements, credentials, and policies.
• Participate in the planning, revision, implementation, and execution of updated amendments and/or regulations.
• Responsible for the daily guidance, development, and performance of all direct reports.
• Offer contract and MTM policy interpretation and support to the local Logistics Team.
• Facilitate town halls, conventions, and seminars.
• Regular attendance is mandatory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• College degree or four years of relevant work experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of prior experience in management or a proven leadership role.
• At least 3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, operations, or fleet management is required (5+ years is preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Account Manager or in a related capacity.
• Experience with contracting and negotiations.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
