Transportation Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Lead and support initiatives related to surgical freight.

• Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) and Project Lead for various transportation topics.

• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the annual carrier budget.

• Oversee the overall flow of shipments.

• Collaborate across manufacturing sites, third-party logistics (3PL) providers, and distribution centers to address transfer and transportation needs.

• Serve as the liaison between Transportation SX and Global Transportation, APL Supply Chain HUB, EL Supply Chain/Logistics Operations, Warehouses, IT, and others.

• Participate in weekly orchestrator calls with country representatives and stakeholders from various functions (S&OP, WH&D, Customer Operations), leading and coordinating transportation topics.

• Work in conjunction with the procurement team for Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and on-demand freight cost analysis.

• Conduct ad-hoc analyses and maintain ongoing statistical reports.

• Actively engage in the continuous improvement process (CIP) by completing CIP projects aimed at achieving financial savings targets.

• Assess and enhance service performance metrics (on-time delivery, OTIF, etc.).

• Address transportation routing errors and resolve issues related to late pickups and deliveries.

• Support both Global and Regional financial objectives through operational excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant educational background that supports effective performance in logistics, supply chain, or related fields.

• Experience in transportation management, freight forwarding, vendor management, or supply chain operations.

• Strong technical knowledge of logistics processes, customs compliance, and Good Practice (GxP)-aligned documentation practices.
