This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Acquire an in-depth understanding of our renewable energy storage sector, including our products, technologies, processes, and team members.
• Develop and execute a logistics strategy that meets the requirements of internal stakeholders while aligning with project and customer expectations, ensuring the efficient movement of products and materials.
• Supervise warehousing, inventory management, and transportation activities for both domestic and international shipments.
• Design and enforce industry best practices for logistics policies and processes across the organization to enhance operational and financial performance.
• Negotiate contracts and rates with logistics and transportation providers, recommending the most effective transport modes, routes, and performance indicators.
• Influence product design and packaging to optimize transportation costs.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with all parties involved in the logistics process.
• Ensure compliance with transportation and trade regulations while adhering to international trade laws, tariffs, HTS classifications, and export requirements.
• Foster a culture characterized by collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, excellence, transparency, open-mindedness, humility, integrity, efficiency, joy, compassion, and fulfillment.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.
• Over 7 years of global transportation and logistics experience, ideally within industrial construction, utilities, energy, or similar sectors.
• Strong negotiation capabilities with a sharp focus on balancing cost savings and relationship management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the technical and legal aspects related to global import and export regulations, with particular expertise in Australia, North America, Europe, the Middle East, and China. A US Customs House Broker License is a plus but not mandatory.
• Proven track record in establishing, implementing, and overseeing global transportation and logistics operations.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience in cost modeling and project management.
• A history of developing and enhancing processes that are effective.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong emotional intelligence.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 40% of the time.
• Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced growth environments.
