This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of commercial transportation accounts, which includes acquiring new business, managing renewals, endorsements, policy modifications, and ongoing account support.
• Collaborate with Producers on strategies for renewals and account management, client meetings, relationship enhancement, and adapting to changing transportation risks.
• Act as the primary contact for clients regarding coverage, policy details, billing inquiries, certificates, and account requirements.
• Manage transportation insurance programs encompassing commercial auto, motor truck cargo, general liability, physical damage, umbrella/excess liability, workers’ compensation, trailer interchange, and non-trucking liability.
• Prepare applications and submissions for new and renewal business, ensuring comprehensive underwriting information is included.
• Collect and maintain detailed information about drivers, vehicles, equipment, loss history, mileage, operating radius, commodities, and exposure details.
• Assess carrier proposals, quotes, endorsements, and policy documents to ensure accuracy and adequate coverage.
• Facilitate changes to drivers and vehicles, policy updates, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, premium audits, and other policy adjustments.
• Coordinate policy binding, manage billing inquiries, conduct premium audits, handle non-renewals, and oversee related account activities.
• Handle certificates of insurance, ensuring adherence to policy coverage and contractual obligations.
• Assist with transportation filings and necessary regulatory documentation.
• Compile loss information, request and review loss runs, and maintain precise client records.
• Communicate significant operational or exposure changes to Producers and carrier partners.
• Maintain well-organized electronic files in Applied Epic and other agency management platforms.
• Foster relationships with transportation underwriters and carrier partners to aid in placement and client retention.
• Monitor conditions in the transportation insurance market, including underwriting requirements, carrier appetites, and industry trends.
• Provide accurate, efficient, timely, and outstanding client service.
• An active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license is required.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
• A minimum of four years of experience in Commercial Lines insurance or account management is necessary.
• Previous experience in transportation, trucking, commercial auto, or fleet insurance accounts is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Commercial Lines insurance products as well as transportation-specific coverages and risks.
• Familiarity with commercial auto, motor truck cargo, physical damage, general liability, umbrella/excess liability, workers’ compensation, and related insurance products is essential.
• Knowledge of transportation underwriting information, including driver schedules, vehicle schedules, loss history, operating radius, commodities transported, and fleet exposures, is crucial.
• Preference for familiarity with transportation insurance certificates, filings, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Applied Epic or a comparable agency management system is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and customer service abilities are essential.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills are necessary, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and renewal timelines.
• High attention to detail and dedication to accuracy is a must.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with Producers, underwriters, carrier partners, and internal teams.
