Transport Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Developing and maintaining the daily run summary to meet delivery and collection timelines.

• Coordinating with the shunting operation to oversee preloading and unloading activities.

• Ensuring service levels are met and maintained in collaboration with other departments.

• Utilizing the Driver rota to schedule runs based on shift patterns and available hours, factoring in holidays and absences.

• Guaranteeing legal compliance regarding any defects, services, MOTs, etc.

• Maintaining clear and effective communication with drivers by providing accurate start times, load details, directions, and additional shift information.

• Ensuring compliance with all statutory and legal requirements, as well as health and safety policies and safe systems of work.

• Assisting in disciplinary hearings, return to work meetings, and substance misuse procedures to uphold standards and ensure employees perform at an appropriate level.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of tachograph and driving regulations.

• Significant experience in transport within an FMCG environment is preferred.

• Strong planning and organizational skills, with the capability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure to meet deadlines.

• Previous experience in management or supervision.

• Excellent communication skills to convey accurate information effectively.

• Proficient in IT, including MS Office applications, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team or independently.

• CPC National qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
