This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Develop and implement a thorough strategy to revolutionize the end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) function.
• Examine current manual workflows, identify obstacles, and suggest innovative solutions to enhance processes.
• Spearhead initiatives aimed at further automating payment processing.
• Investigate process transformation possibilities in other areas of Accounting, including Accounts Receivable and General Ledger.
• Oversee the implementation of chosen credit card and expense automation software.
• Continuously seek additional benefits from the programs and software deployed.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the AP team, IT, and external vendors during technology rollouts.
• Ensure new systems integrate seamlessly with our existing ERP (Oracle Fusion) and other financial platforms.
• Develop a comprehensive communication plan to guide the change process with the AP team and other stakeholders.
• Create and provide training materials to ensure team members are proficient in the new systems and processes.
• Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making within the AP department.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Treasury, and internal business units to ensure AP processes align with company-wide objectives.
• Report on project progress, key metrics, and return on investment (ROI) to senior leadership.
• Review and revise AP policies and procedures to align with the new automated workflows.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 12-15 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related finance role, with 5-7 years in a leadership position.
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale process improvement or transformation projects.
• Proficiency in AP automation software is a plus (e.g., Coupa, Medius, Tipalti, AvidXchange, Navan).
• Experience managing corporate credit card programs.
• Strong grasp of accounting principles, financial controls, and AP best practices.
• Outstanding project management, communication, and change management capabilities.
• Familiarity with major ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Certifications such as PMP or a similar project management credential are advantageous.
