This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Review scoped transcripts to ensure accuracy, consistency, formatting, grammar, punctuation, and compliance with company standards prior to submission to court reporters.
• Detect and rectify transcript inaccuracies while maintaining the integrity of the official record.
• Conduct quality assurance assessments based on established quality and accuracy benchmarks.
• Offer feedback and training to newly onboarded scopists.
• Work in collaboration with scopists, court reporters, and internal team members to address transcript inquiries.
• Utilize Magna's proprietary transcript management system for reviewing, editing, tracking, and managing workflow.
• Identify quality trends and suggest process enhancements, training opportunities, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with style guides, formatting requirements, and standards for transcript production.
• Organize workload effectively to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy.
• Contribute to quality assurance initiatives, process improvement projects, and various operational needs.
• Share expertise and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
• Proven professional experience as a scopist with advanced skills in transcript proofreading and editing.
• Exceptional proficiency in English grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure, and transcript formatting.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot subtle errors while preserving the official record.
• Excellent written communication skills for delivering clear, professional, and constructive feedback.
• Capacity to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet production deadlines.
• Proficient in computer applications with the ability to learn proprietary software systems.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and time management abilities.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and high-quality standards.
• Previous experience in transcript quality assurance, editorial review, or proofreading in a legal transcript production setting is preferred.
• Experience in mentoring or coaching scopists or production team members is preferred.
• Familiarity with quality assurance metrics, process improvement, and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
• Background in a remote, deadline-driven production environment is preferred.
• Experience collaborating with court reporters and production teams is preferred.
