Training Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Manage the project portfolio for the Training team, ensuring that timelines, resources, and priorities are aligned across various initiatives.

• Gather and maintain a comprehensive overview of project statuses, key actions, risks, and mitigation strategies.

• Assist in the preparation and facilitation of regular team meetings to review progress, share updates, and align on future priorities.

• Aid team members in finding practical solutions to operational challenges and escalate risks or decisions to the Director when necessary.

• Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and consistency within the Training team.

• Provide the Director with regular updates regarding project statuses, team progress, and training effectiveness.

• Oversee training development projects from inception to completion, coordinating with contributors, external training agencies, and third parties.

• Conduct training needs assessments and develop training strategies for assigned initiatives and sectors.

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of learning programs and training materials, including e-learning courses, educational videos, infographics, PowerPoint presentations, and other learning resources.

• Utilize existing resources and AI authoring tools to quickly produce targeted training content.

• Facilitate virtual groups with training experts from Member Organizations to exchange best practices and identify common solutions.

• Prepare and conduct both in-person and virtual training sessions.

• Support the Training Team in preparing and delivering sessions at GS1 global events.

• Encourage the adoption of the global learning platform, ensuring that learning content is visible, accessible, and engaging for users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive project management experience, with the capability to coordinate workstreams and manage risks and dependencies effectively.

• Experience in facilitating team meetings and fostering group dynamics, along with supporting follow-up and ensuring alignment across projects.

• Strong background in the design, development, delivery, and assessment of global training programs, both in-person and online.

• In-depth knowledge of learning best practices, instructional design models, and curriculum planning.

• Excellent storytelling, writing, presentation, and visual communication skills; experience in storyboarding is a plus.

• Proficient in PowerPoint and familiar with e-learning tools, including AI authoring software.

• Ability to create high-quality, targeted learning content within tight deadlines and adapt content swiftly for various training needs and audiences.

• Capability to monitor project health, consolidate status updates, and generate report updates.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with over 6 years of relevant professional experience in training and project management.

• Proficiency in English, both oral and written; additional languages are a bonus.
