Trainer, Professional Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Conduct analyses to determine training needs and convert findings into role-specific learning objectives, curricula, training matrices, and delivery plans.

• Design and create instructor-led, virtual, blended, and eLearning programs in both English and French.

• Develop and manage LMS courses, learning paths, assignments, assessments, completion tracking, and reporting.

• Create facilitator guides, participant materials, exercises, job aids, and user documentation.

• Provide engaging remote and onsite training for utility customers and internal teams.

• Formulate and implement test plans, scenarios, test cases, expected results, and supporting evidence.

• Assist with functionality, workflow, regression, conversion-validation, and user acceptance testing.

• Record test results, defects, retesting outcomes, training gaps, and readiness concerns.

• Utilize approved AI technologies to enhance training, testing, analysis, documentation, and reusable asset delivery.

• Validate AI-assisted work for accuracy, confidentiality, appropriate terminology, and consistency with customer requirements.

• Support customers during testing, go-live, and post-implementation stabilization phases.

• Collaborate with Project Management, Consulting, Technical Services, Conversion, Reporting, Development, and Support teams.

• Keep accurate project documentation, time records, site logs, and status updates.

• Identify opportunities for enhancing implementation enablement methods, tools, templates, and processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Full professional fluency in English and French, both written and verbal.

• A minimum of three years of relevant experience in instructional design, software training, software testing, business analysis, application consulting, or enterprise software implementation.

• Experience in the utilities industry, with knowledge of utility operations, customer service, billing, or related business processes.

• Proven experience in conducting training needs analyses and creating role-based learning programs.

• Hands-on experience in designing, publishing, maintaining, and reporting on training via a Learning Management System.

• Experience in developing instructor-led, virtual, blended, or eLearning content.

• Familiarity with developing or executing test plans, scenarios, test cases, and user acceptance testing.

• Demonstrated ability to responsibly utilize modern AI technologies to enhance training, testing, analysis, or documentation.

• Strong skills in facilitation, presentation, analysis, problem-solving, and customer service.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, Smartsheet, and LMS platforms.

• Ability to juggle multiple customer and project priorities in a fast-paced Professional Services environment.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% across North America.

• Valid passport and capacity to travel throughout North America.

• Legally eligible to travel internationally, including necessary travel visas or passport-based visa exemptions for Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean.
