Trainer, Professional Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Perform training needs assessments and convert the results into role-specific learning objectives, curricula, training matrices, and delivery strategies.

• Create and develop instructor-led, virtual, blended, and eLearning programs in both English and French.

• Establish and manage LMS courses, learning paths, assignments, assessments, completion tracking, and reporting mechanisms.

• Produce facilitator guides, participant materials, exercises, job aids, and user documentation.

• Provide engaging remote and onsite training sessions for utility customers and internal teams.

• Formulate and implement test plans, scenarios, test cases, expected outcomes, and supporting documentation.

• Assist in functionality, workflow, regression, conversion-validation, and user acceptance testing efforts.

• Record test results, identify defects, document retesting outcomes, training deficiencies, and readiness issues.

• Leverage approved AI technologies to enhance training, testing, analysis, documentation, and the reusable delivery of materials.

• Validate AI-assisted outputs for precision, confidentiality, appropriate terminology, and alignment with customer specifications.

• Guide customers through testing, go-live phases, and post-implementation stabilization.

• Collaborate with Project Management, Consulting, Technical Services, Conversion, Reporting, Development, and Support teams.

• Ensure accurate project documentation, time records, site logs, and status updates are maintained.

• Identify and propose enhancements to implementation enablement methods, tools, templates, and processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Full professional fluency in both English and French, encompassing written and verbal communication.

• A minimum of three years of relevant experience in instructional design, software training, software testing, business analysis, application consulting, or enterprise software implementation.

• Experience in the utilities industry, including familiarity with utility operations, customer service, billing, or related business processes.

• Proven track record in conducting training needs assessments and developing role-based learning programs.

• Practical experience in designing, publishing, maintaining, and reporting on training via a Learning Management System.

• Background in developing instructor-led, virtual, blended, or eLearning content.

• Experience in the development or execution of test plans, scenarios, test cases, and user acceptance testing.

• Demonstrated ability to responsibly utilize modern AI technologies to enhance training, testing, analysis, or documentation.

• Strong skills in facilitation, presentation, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and customer service.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, Smartsheet, and LMS platforms.

• Capability to juggle multiple customer and project priorities in a dynamic Professional Services environment.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% across North America.

• Valid passport, with the ability to travel throughout North America.

• Post-secondary education in adult education, instructional design, learning and development, business analysis, information technology, quality assurance, or a related field (this would be an advantage).

• Experience with utility billing, Customer Information Systems, ERP, SaaS, financial, or other enterprise applications (this would be an advantage).

• Experience managing an enterprise LMS or utilizing eLearning authoring tools (this would be an advantage).

• Understanding of adult-learning principles, traceability requirements, regression testing, defect management, and training effectiveness measurement (this would be an advantage).

• Experience in developing AI-enabled learning, automated testing, reusable content, or process improvements (this would be an advantage).
