This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Leading training sessions focused on illegal wildlife abuse offenses at both state and federal levels;
• Building and nurturing relationships with participants and partner agencies on behalf of Humane World for Animals;
• Collaborating with the Law Enforcement Training Coordinator to identify training opportunities;
• Organizing training schedules in alignment with the hiring and training needs of the Law Enforcement Training Center;
• Developing a comprehensive teaching outline and selecting instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, and workshops;
• Conducting assessments for trainees to evaluate progress and the effectiveness of training; responsible for reporting on trainees' advancement during training sessions.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred;
• A minimum of one year of relevant training experience is required;
• Experience collaborating closely with law enforcement on wildlife crime issues is essential;
• Strong understanding of animal cruelty laws, wildlife regulations, and the connection between animal abuse and interpersonal violence is necessary;
• Excellent verbal communication skills and prior experience in public speaking are required;
• Willingness and ability to travel are essential.
