Trainer, Law Enforcement – On Call

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Delivering training sessions that encompass topics such as investigations of animal abuse and fighting, animal cruelty and violent crimes, equine cruelty investigations, and interactions between police and dogs;

• Building and nurturing relationships with students and host agencies on behalf of Humane World for Animals;

• Collaborating with the Law Enforcement Training Coordinator to identify training opportunities;

• Organizing training schedules in alignment with the hiring and training needs of the Law Enforcement Training Center; also responsible for developing a teaching outline and determining instructional methods, which may include individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, and workshops;

• Administering assessments for trainees to evaluate their progress and the effectiveness of the training; accountable for reporting on the performance of employees during their training period.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.

• A minimum of one year of relevant training experience is required;

• Experience collaborating closely with law enforcement on animal-related crimes is necessary;

• Must possess a strong understanding of animal cruelty laws and investigations, as well as a comprehensive awareness of the connection between animal abuse and interpersonal violence;

• Exceptional verbal communication skills and experience in public speaking are essential;

• Must be capable of and willing to travel.
