
Trainer, Law Enforcement β On Call

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Delivering training sessions that encompass topics such as investigations of animal abuse and fighting, animal cruelty and violent crimes, equine cruelty investigations, and interactions between police and dogs;
β’ Building and nurturing relationships with students and host agencies on behalf of Humane World for Animals;
β’ Collaborating with the Law Enforcement Training Coordinator to identify training opportunities;
β’ Organizing training schedules in alignment with the hiring and training needs of the Law Enforcement Training Center; also responsible for developing a teaching outline and determining instructional methods, which may include individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, and workshops;
β’ Administering assessments for trainees to evaluate their progress and the effectiveness of the training; accountable for reporting on the performance of employees during their training period.
β’ A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
β’ A minimum of one year of relevant training experience is required;
β’ Experience collaborating closely with law enforcement on animal-related crimes is necessary;
β’ Must possess a strong understanding of animal cruelty laws and investigations, as well as a comprehensive awareness of the connection between animal abuse and interpersonal violence;
β’ Exceptional verbal communication skills and experience in public speaking are essential;
β’ Must be capable of and willing to travel.
