Trainer for CAD and Artificial Intelligence in Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

• Instructing on the fundamentals and possibilities of AI within engineering disciplines.

• Educating on AI-assisted methodologies during the design process.

• Teaching contemporary CAD workflows enhanced by AI technologies.

• Guiding on Generative Design and the automated generation of design variants.

• Providing instruction on AI-supported decision-making in product development.

• Teaching AI-driven error detection and quality assurance techniques.

• Evaluating and validating design outcomes generated by AI.

• Assisting in the incorporation of AI into current development and design workflows.

• Supporting participants in crafting their own use cases.

• Overseeing hands-on project work.

• Delivering practical, engaging, and audience-centric training tailored for professionals in design, development, and technical engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree or technical training in mechanical engineering, design engineering, product development, or a related field.

• A minimum of five years of professional experience in design, development, or technical engineering roles.

• Proficient knowledge of at least one CAD software: Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Fusion, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.

• Experience with parametric design and contemporary CAD workflows.

• Solid understanding of product development and design processes within mechanical engineering.

• Practical experience in leveraging AI effectively throughout the development and design phases.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar generative AI systems for design and development tasks.

• Capability to critically assess AI-generated outcomes regarding functionality, feasibility, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Preferred: Experience with AI functionalities in modern CAD applications.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Generative Design and topology optimization techniques.

• Preferred: Awareness of current advancements in AI relevant to design and engineering.

• Preferred: Experience in optimizing development and design workflows.

• Preferred: Understanding of parametric design variations.

• Preferred: Experience with prompt engineering for technical applications.

• Preferred: Knowledge of data protection, copyright issues, and responsible AI usage.

• Preferred: Experience in facilitating practice-oriented projects or workshops.

• A plus: Experience with Autodesk Fusion Generative Design, Autodesk AI, SolidWorks AI, or CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE AI.

• A plus: Experience in AI-assisted error detection, quality assurance, and automated design variant development.

• A plus: Familiarity with rule-based design methodologies or CAD automation.

• A plus: Knowledge of simulation, digital engineering, or digital twins.

• A plus: Certification in trainer aptitude (AEVO) or a comparable educational qualification.
