Trainer for CAD and Artificial Intelligence in Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Provide hands-on training on the basics and possibilities of AI in engineering.

• Instruct on AI-enhanced approaches during the design process.

• Educate on modern CAD workflows that are supported by AI.

• Teach Generative Design and the automated generation of design variants.

• Guide on AI-assisted decision-making in product development.

• Instruct on AI-driven error detection and quality assurance methods.

• Teach the assessment and validation of designs generated by AI.

• Facilitate the effective incorporation of AI into current development and design workflows.

• Impart knowledge in a practical, audience-centered manner as part of the “Smart Design: AI Expertise for CAD Professionals” qualification program.

• Clearly articulate the entire design cycle, from requirements analysis and concept development to design, variant generation, optimization, and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree or technical training in mechanical engineering, design engineering, product development, or a related field.

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in design, development, or technical engineering.

• Strong proficiency in at least one of the following CAD systems: Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Fusion, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.

• Experience with parametric design and contemporary CAD workflows.

• A solid grasp of product development and design processes in mechanical engineering.

• Practical experience utilizing AI effectively throughout the development and design phases.

• Familiarity with generative AI systems such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar solutions.

• Capability to critically assess AI-generated outcomes regarding functionality, feasibility, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Preferred: Familiarity with AI features in modern CAD systems.

• Preferred: Experience in Generative Design and topology optimization.

• Preferred: Awareness of current trends in AI for design and engineering.

• Preferred: Experience in optimizing development and design workflows.

• Preferred: Knowledge of parametric variant design.

• Preferred: Experience with prompt engineering for technical applications.

• Preferred: Understanding of data protection, copyright, and responsible AI usage in a corporate setting.

• Preferred: Experience assisting with practical projects or workshops.

• A plus: Experience with Autodesk Fusion Generative Design or similar solutions.

• A plus: Knowledge of Autodesk AI and/or SolidWorks AI.

• A plus: Experience in AI-assisted error detection and quality assurance.

• A plus: Experience in automated design-variant creation.

• A plus: Familiarity with rule-based design methods or CAD automation.

• A plus: Knowledge of simulation, digital engineering, or digital twins.

• A plus: Certification in trainer aptitude (AEVO) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
