This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Provide hands-on training on the basics and capabilities of AI in engineering.
• Instruct on AI-enhanced methods for design and engineering processes.
• Teach contemporary CAD workflows supported by AI.
• Educate on Generative Design and the automated generation of design variants.
• Guide participants in AI-assisted decision-making for product development.
• Demonstrate AI-driven error detection and quality assurance techniques.
• Evaluate and validate design results generated by AI.
• Instruct on the effective incorporation of AI into current development and design workflows.
• Assist participants in formulating their own use cases.
• Oversee practical project initiatives.
• Aid professionals in design, development, and technical engineering in utilizing AI within CAD platforms.
• Clearly present the entire design cycle—from requirements gathering to concept development, design, variant generation, optimization, and final evaluation and documentation.
• A completed degree or technical qualification in mechanical engineering, design engineering, product development, or a related field.
• A minimum of five years of professional experience in design, development, or technical engineering.
• Excellent proficiency in at least one CAD software: Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Fusion, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
• Experience with parametric design and contemporary CAD workflows.
• Solid understanding of product development and design methodologies in mechanical engineering.
• Practical experience in leveraging AI effectively throughout the development and design phases.
• Background in requirements analysis, concept development, technical solution crafting, design and modeling, generative design variant creation, component and assembly optimization, technical evaluation, error detection, and quality enhancement.
• Experience in drafting technical documentation, specifications, and bills of materials.
• Familiarity with generative AI systems such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar solutions.
• Capacity to critically assess AI-generated outcomes concerning functionality, feasibility, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Preferred: exposure to AI features in modern CAD systems, Generative Design, topology optimization, prompt engineering, data protection, copyright, responsible AI application, and relevant practical projects or workshops.
• Advantageous: knowledge of Autodesk AI, SolidWorks AI, CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE AI, CAD automation, simulation, Digital Engineering, or Digital Twins.
• Research expertise in artificial intelligence or a focus on software development is not mandatory.
