This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Provide practical training on the basics and potential applications of AI in engineering.

• Instruct on AI-enhanced methodologies within the design process.

• Teach contemporary CAD workflows with AI integration.

• Educate on Generative Design and the automated generation of design variants.

• Guide participants in AI-assisted decision-making during product development.

• Teach AI-driven error detection and quality assurance practices.

• Instruct on the evaluation and validation of designs generated by AI.

• Assist in the effective incorporation of AI into established development and design workflows.

• Support attendees in the “Smart Design: AI Skills for CAD Professionals” qualification program.

• Offer a comprehensive understanding of the complete design cycle, from requirements analysis and concept development to design, variant generation, optimization, evaluation, and documentation.

• Illustrate how AI adds value while emphasizing the importance of technical expertise, experience, and engineering judgment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed degree or technical training in mechanical engineering, design engineering, product development, or a related field.

• Minimum of two years of professional experience in design, development, or technical engineering.

• Strong proficiency in at least one of the following CAD systems: Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Fusion, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.

• Experience with parametric design and modern CAD workflows.

• Solid knowledge of product development and design processes within mechanical engineering.

• Practical experience in the productive use of AI throughout the development and design phases.

• Familiarity with requirements analysis and concept development.

• Experience in developing technical solutions.

• Background in design and modeling.

• Knowledge of generative design variant creation.

• Experience in optimizing components and assemblies.

• Skills in technically evaluating solution variants.

• Familiarity with error detection and quality enhancement.

• Experience in creating technical documentation, specifications, and bills of materials.

• Exposure to generative AI systems such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar solutions.

• Ability to critically assess AI-generated results regarding functionality, feasibility, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Preferred: Familiarity with AI capabilities in modern CAD applications.

• Preferred: Experience in Generative Design and topology optimization.

• Preferred: Awareness of current trends in AI for design and engineering.

• Preferred: Skills in optimizing development and design processes.

• Preferred: Knowledge of parametric variant design.

• Preferred: Experience with Prompt Engineering for technical applications.

• Preferred: Understanding of data protection, copyright, and responsible AI practices in corporate settings.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting hands-on projects or workshops.

• A plus: Experience with Autodesk Fusion Generative Design or comparable solutions.

• A plus: Knowledge of Autodesk AI, SolidWorks AI, or CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE AI.

• A plus: Experience with AI-assisted error detection and quality assurance.

• A plus: Familiarity with automated design variant development.

• A plus: Knowledge of rule-based design methods or CAD automation.

• A plus: Understanding of simulation, Digital Engineering, or Digital Twins.

• A plus: Trainer certification under the German AEVO standard or a similar pedagogical qualification.
