This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
β’ You provide practical, hands-on instruction in the fundamentals of 3D scanning, concentrating on mechanical engineering.
β’ You cover the complete Scan-to-CAD workflow: 3D scanning β point cloud β mesh β reverse engineering β CAD modeling β technical drawing β manufacturing.
β’ You oversee project work involving real components to guarantee strong practical relevance.
β’ You incorporate current technologies and industry use cases into your courses.
β’ You assist participants in confidently applying their knowledge in practice, including in a virtual classroom setting.
β’ Required: technical training or a university degree, such as in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, product development, or surveying.
β’ Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in 3D scanning, reverse engineering, or digital data acquisition.
β’ Strong understanding of various scanning technologies (e.g., laser, structured light, or handheld scanners).
β’ Proficiency in managing point clouds, mesh data, and file formats (STL, OBJ, PLY, STEP).
β’ Experience in preparing and post-processing scanned data.
β’ Practical experience in integrating scan data into CAD systems.
β’ Familiarity with reverse engineering technical parts and assemblies.
β’ Good grasp of technical drawing and engineering principles.
β’ Experience in teaching adult learners or providing training.
β’ Knowledge of tools such as Artec Studio, Geomagic (Design X/Warp), PolyWorks, VXelements, or FARO Scene.
β’ Proficient with at least one CAD system (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo, or NX).
β’ Understanding of metrology, quality requirements, and data evaluation.
β’ Ability to evaluate scan results for accuracy and applicability.
β’ Experience with practical workflows and project-based learning.
β’ Interest in topics like Digital Twin, digitization, and Scan-to-CAD.
