Trading Systems Operator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Assume complete responsibility for your trading operator shift – day shifts exclusively, no night shifts required.

• Monitor and optimize our automated trading systems to maintain peak performance.

• Actively engage in trading on the European intraday electricity markets.

• Manage electricity scheduling processes and ensure timely operations.

• Identify inefficiencies and enhance our trading workflows.

• Oversee a varied product portfolio that includes consumption and cross-border trading.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for business partners during critical incidents.

• Collaborate closely with our analysis team to aid in the improvement and evolution of our automated trading agents.

• A relevant degree – such as in business, economics, engineering, mathematics, energy management, or a related field.

• A strong foundation in statistics and experience with data analysis.

• A genuine interest in energy markets, the energy transition, or trading.

• Strong decision-making abilities and a clear sense of accountability for your work.

• A passion for problem-solving, even in scenarios with incomplete information.

• A commitment to learning, sharing knowledge, and introducing innovative ideas.

• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills – you enjoy uncovering the root of issues.

• Outstanding documentation skills – you appreciate clear, well-crafted records.

• Willingness to work day shifts on a rotating schedule, including weekends and public holidays (with bonus compensation).
