Trader, Corporate Securities Market Making

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Engage in inter-dealer markets for corporate securities as part of Atomic's broker-dealer trading desk.

• Quote, execute, and oversee risk management for corporate bond and equity positions within the inter-dealer market.

• Collaborate directly with counterparties to source liquidity and facilitate trading activities.

• Contribute to the establishment of daily trading practices, counterparty relationships, and desk workflows as Atomic develops its trading and financing capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active Series 57 (Securities Trader Representative) license.

• Direct, practical experience in making inter-dealer markets for corporate securities.

• Strong understanding and application of Reg NMS, SHO, and related regulations.

• Proficient in navigating and utilizing Exchange systems for high-touch trading, market making, and risk management.

• Proven experience in quoting two-sided markets (bid/offer) and managing associated inventory risk.

• Background in trading directly with inter-dealer brokers (IDBs) through matching platforms, whether voice or electronic.

• Familiarity with trade reporting, settlement mechanics, FINRA, CAT reporting, and best execution practices.

• Three to five years of relevant experience in market making and proprietary trading for a broker-dealer in corporate securities.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

• Securities lending experience is highly preferred.

• Experience with repo/reverse repo is a plus.

• Margin lending experience is an added advantage.

• Holding a Series 24 license is a bonus.
