This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +11 more states.
• Generate new records as necessary and assist in the docketing of cases that have been transferred.
• Evaluate and enhance internal policies and procedures related to docketing processes.
• Ensure that deadlines for the loss of rights are managed in accordance with the firm's policies.
• Aid in maintaining the accuracy of internal and external contacts within the database and manage global updates or reassignments as required.
• Compile reports and assist other departmental staff in report preparation; customize standard reports as necessary.
• Support client and firm projects as required.
• Help ensure the seamless operation of docketing support functions during absences.
• Assist in training new assistants, paralegals, and associates on docketing procedures and/or software as instructed.
• Uphold confidentiality in all matters pertaining to clients and the firm.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience with the trademark prosecution process in a law firm environment is essential.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• A thorough understanding of PTO regulations and procedures for securing and maintaining trademark protection globally.
• Ability to leverage that knowledge for reviewing and docketing inbound, outbound, and internal communications as well as related docketing requests.
• Capacity to work under strict deadlines and manage multiple detailed tasks; willingness to work overtime when necessary.
• Proficiency in planning, organizing, and executing multiple related activities.
• Outstanding communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal) and a keen attention to detail with the ability to follow up and follow through.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, along with a proven ability to learn any department-specific software.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in all circumstances and work effectively in a culturally and educationally diverse team setting.
