Threat Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee Triage systems for newly reported suspicious emails from customers.

• Conduct initial evaluations on reported suspicious emails to ascertain whether they represent a threat to the customer or are harmless.

• Initiate threat analysis cases for emails that could potentially endanger the customer and escalate to a Senior Threat Analysis team member.

• Support Senior Threat Analysts during investigative processes.

• Retain responsibility for cases opened on behalf of customers, which includes updating cases, communicating with customers, and documenting resolutions.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly reports for customers.

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of products, which includes updates, upgrades, backups, and troubleshooting.

• Respond to customer inquiries submitted through ticketing systems and various communication channels.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience or education in general security, demonstrating proficiency in phishing and malware analysis.

• Preferred industry-recognized certifications in Malware Analysis and Incident Response.

• A 2-4 year degree in Computer Science or relevant field experience is preferred.

• Skilled in common technologies, including networking, operating systems, email infrastructures such as Exchange and Office 365, anti-virus software, and advanced threat detection systems.

• Proficient in everyday end-user applications like web browsers and productivity tools such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, which are commonly targeted by malware.
