This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Identify new and ongoing TPL cases across various platforms (e.g., Epic EMR, insurance portals, legal request systems, and attorney communications).
• Prepare, dispatch, and monitor lien letters for personal injury, auto accident, and other third-party liability cases.
• Track case status to ensure timely updates regarding settlements, dismissals, or claims denials.
• Collaborate directly with attorneys, insurance companies, and adjusters to gather essential updates on case developments.
• Maintain precise documentation and oversee outstanding TPL balances within Epic EMR.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and payer-specific TPL billing regulations.
• Assist in the coordination of subrogation claims and reimbursement requests from health insurance providers.
• Process, monitor, and fulfill medical record requests from attorneys, insurers, government bodies, and patients.
• Ensure that requests comply with HIPAA, PHI privacy regulations, and state medical records laws.
• Utilize Epic EMR to retrieve, review, and securely transmit medical records.
• Identify pertinent patient cases across multiple platforms to guarantee accurate processing of all required records.
• Manage subpoenaed records and coordinate responses to legal inquiries.
• Maintain logs and tracking systems to ensure prompt completion of requests.
• Respond professionally to inquiries about record requests, associated fees, and processing timelines.

• Experience: At least 2 years in medical records, revenue cycle, or TPL case management (experience in orthopedics or personal injury is preferred).
• Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Epic EMR, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), insurance portals, and email management.
• Knowledge Base: Familiarity with HIPAA, PHI, medical records processing, TPL/subrogation laws, and healthcare revenue cycle workflows.
• Detail-Oriented: Capacity to track multiple cases, deadlines, and requests with accuracy.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills for engaging with law firms, insurance adjusters, and healthcare providers.
• Problem-Solving: Capability to foresee and resolve claim disputes or records compliance issues efficiently.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in healthcare collections, personal injury claims, or legal billing.
• Familiarity with lien processing, workers' compensation, and auto insurance billing.
• Certification in Medical Records or Health Information Management (RHIT, CPC, etc.) is advantageous.
