Thermographer - Infrared Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Conduct infrared thermographic inspections of electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and/or roofing at commercial and industrial locations.

• Evaluate thermal images to detect anomalies or potential failures.

• Generate comprehensive inspection reports utilizing company templates, thoroughly documenting findings and recommendations for corrective measures.

• Act as the primary customer liaison on-site, representing the company in a professional manner.

• Effectively communicate with internal teams and client personnel to ensure clarity and precision of inspection outcomes.

• Complete administrative tasks promptly, including time tracking, expense reporting, and travel arrangements.

• May also assist with building energy audits and help catalog customers’ electrical and mechanical assets.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fundamental electrical knowledge and a strong mechanical aptitude.

• Thermography certification and experience working as an infrared thermographer.

• Exceptional communication skills with individuals at all levels, including maintenance personnel, facility managers, and engineers.

• Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Strong time management abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

• Willingness and ability to travel frequently (including air travel); valid driver’s license required.

• Must reside within one hour of a major airport for efficient travel to client locations.
