
Therapist – Eating Disorder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Deliver evidence-informed family, individual, and group therapy for eating disorders and associated diagnoses in a virtual clinic (i.e., telehealth) environment.
• Apply family-based treatment (FBT), enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT-E), cognitive behavioral therapy for ARFID, and other evidence-based methodologies for patients of all ages dealing with eating disorders and their families.
• Manage a caseload of 30-40 clients, with an expectation of providing 20-26 hours of direct care, while allocating the remaining time to administrative responsibilities.
• Engage in initial and ongoing training sessions.
• Evaluate and diagnose mental health disorders.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, dietitians, patient mentors, family mentors, and external providers.
• Utilize between-session messaging to assist patients and maintain communication with the treatment team via Equip’s EMR.
• Actively participate in Treatment Team meetings, supervision, and departmental discussions.
• Keep licensure current in your home state and obtain additional licensure in other states as requested by Equip.
• An active, unrestricted, and independent license to practice psychotherapy in Maryland.
• Capability to manage a diverse caseload of patients of various ages, co-occurring conditions, backgrounds, and cultures, with differing levels of acuity.
• A strong commitment to evidence-based care and treatment methodologies.
• Availability to provide care during two evenings each week.
• A positive, enthusiastic team player.
• Competence in safely and effectively delivering care in a virtual context.
• A deep passion for mental health and eating disorder treatment, along with a desire to expand access to such treatments.
• Preferred: Experience in Family-Based Treatment and/or eating disorder care.
• Preferred: Background in evidence-based treatment and/or intensive treatment environments.
• Preferred: Experience in supporting patients facing suicidal ideation and trauma.
