This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Accountable for establishing trusting relationships with Key Accounts and expanding those connections to secure the greatest share of the Glaucoma and Dry Eye Disease markets.
• Formulating account-specific strategies that align with AbbVie’s principles and standards.
• Partnering with the AbbVie Medical team and Clinical Specialists from the AbbVie Institute in the field to enhance product knowledge and improve business training expertise.
• Crafting detailed and strategic business plans aimed at increasing market presence within the glaucoma and dry eye product range.
• Performing regular assessments of business territory performance both externally and internally.
• Implementing national marketing initiatives in collaboration with internal cross-functional teams.
• Recognizing new collaboration and growth opportunities within current Key Accounts, as well as pinpointing potential new Key Accounts.
• Efficiently overseeing the overall budget and resource allocation for the territory.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Science, or a related field, or an MBA combined with relevant experience and education is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in Sales and/or Marketing or operational roles at head office.
• Experience in Key Account Management is advantageous.
• Previous experience in Pharmaceutical or Medical Sales is mandatory.
• A solid understanding of the institutional and Key Account healthcare sector is preferred.
• Proven history of meeting and/or surpassing business objectives.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Demonstrated business acumen and a proactive approach.
• Exhibits leadership qualities, strong listening skills, and adaptability.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
• Proven capability to communicate effectively across various functions within the organization.
• Candidates must be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Highly collaborative with a customer-focused mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
• This position may require evening and weekend work, including overnight travel.
