Testing Specialist – Journeyman

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Execute both manual and automated test cases as per established test plans and procedures.

• Conduct regression, functional, integration, and system testing.

• Document the results of test executions, defects, and any corrective measures taken.

• Assist in the development, maintenance, and review of test scripts, test cases, and related documentation.

• Track and report software defects utilizing approved test management and defect tracking tools.

• Collaborate with Test Engineers, developers, project managers, and stakeholders to address identified issues.

• Verify fixes for defects and support user acceptance testing.

• Maintain testing artifacts and contribute to quality assurance reporting.

• Ensure adherence to project standards, quality requirements, and documentation guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or test execution activities.

• Experience in performing regression testing and validating software functionality.

• Proficiency in using test management and defect tracking tools.

• Strong attention to detail along with exceptional documentation and reporting skills.

• Familiarity with software testing methodologies and best practices.

• Capability to execute test cases and accurately document the results.

• Experience in identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team-oriented environment.

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

• Must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-issued security clearance.
