Test & Evaluation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop simulation, bench, and continuous integration capabilities that validate builds prior to field deployment.

• Enhance testing infrastructure and implement software- and hardware-in-the-loop capabilities using representative hardware.

• Manage evaluation sets and adversarial testing suites.

• Assess accuracy in degraded conditions and confirm expected end-to-end functionality.

• Execute test cases on live hardware, including those relevant to safety.

• Determine whether the observed test outcomes are classified as a pass.

• Transform range data into reproducible regression cases and additional evaluations.

• Provide proof that a build and its configuration are ready for flight.

• Develop code, create tools, perform tests, and identify conditions that lead to failures.

• Collaborate with engineering teams responsible for addressing issues within the NLP and autonomy stack.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in test engineering, test automation, systems testing, ML evaluation, or a similar role.

• Strong expertise in Python programming.

• Proficiency in Linux operating systems.

• Practical experience with continuous integration.

• Proven expertise in at least one area of test automation, hardware and bench testing, ML evaluation, or platform testing.

• Willingness to travel to test ranges and customer locations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

• Current residency in the United States is required.

• Permanent Residency (Green Card status) or visa sponsorship does not meet these requirements.

• Capability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

• Part 107 certification or experience as a safety operator on small UAS is preferred.

• Experience in robotics, unmanned systems, or autonomy testing is advantageous.

• Background in defense test and evaluation, including test planning and government deliverable reporting, is a plus.

• Experience in testing systems that incorporate machine learning components is a bonus.
