Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain effective automation frameworks and testing tools for both frontend and backend systems.

• Write high-quality, efficient code to enhance test coverage and boost developer productivity.

• Construct and refine quality gates within our CI/CD pipelines to ensure issues are detected promptly and efficiently.

• Collaborate closely with development teams to pinpoint automation opportunities and incorporate testability into new features from the outset.

• Design and maintain dependable unit, integration, end-to-end, and contract tests.

• Perform code reviews to maintain exceptional standards for automation quality, reliability, and maintainability.

• Track test performance, flakiness, and coverage, while continuously enhancing stability at scale.

• Contribute to the overall test strategy, planning, and process improvement efforts.

• Mentor engineers and advocate for automation best practices across various teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong foundation in software engineering with a thorough understanding of quality assurance principles.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks and testing tools for both frontend and backend applications.

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, with a strong ability to write clean, efficient, and well-structured code.

• Practical experience with test automation tools such as Cypress, Jest, and Pact.

• Experience in creating and maintaining automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.

• Background in testing APIs and third-party integrations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Capacity to work independently while remaining aligned with team objectives.

• Enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and assisting others in enhancing their testing skills.

• Curiosity for staying informed about new testing tools, libraries, and technologies.

• Experience with load and performance testing platforms.

• Familiar with MongoDB and test data management.

• Experience with Snowflake and data integration pipeline testing.

• Understanding of AWS or other cloud-based infrastructures.

• Experience with containerization and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Docker, Terraform).

• Experience testing SAP integrations.
