Test Analyst (Mid-level)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Plan, implement, and oversee testing activities to ensure high-quality deliverables while contributing to the ongoing enhancement of systems.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive testing strategies, plans, test cases, scripts, and other relevant testing documentation.

• Monitor the progression of requests from initial conception, facilitating the integration of quality practices throughout the development life cycle.

• Design and execute both functional and non-functional tests, which encompass integration, regression, acceptance, performance, and security testing.

• Detect, log, and track defects, analyzing the outcomes of each testing cycle.

• Oversee test data, homologation/test environments, and resources required for the execution of validations.

• Construct and sustain mocks, stubs, simulators, and other components that support testing.

• Ensure traceability among requirements, scenarios, test cases, and delivered outputs.

• Evaluate test coverage and suggest ongoing improvements to quality processes.

• Assist Product Owners, managers, and business stakeholders in establishing acceptance and approval criteria for requests.

• Engage in test automation efforts, including ATDD, BDD, and Specification by Example.

• Evaluate non-functional requirements related to application performance and security, adhering to best practices and guidelines such as those from OWASP.

• Contribute to the stability of environments and the quality of outputs produced by development teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Systems Analysis, Computer Science, Data Processing, Information Systems, Informatics, Computer Engineering, or another Information Technology discipline; OR a bachelor's degree in any field combined with a postgraduate specialization in Information Technology.

• Possess at least one certification (or an equivalent) such as ATC – Certified Test Analyst from IBQTS (Instituto Brasileiro de Qualidade em Testes de Software); CBTS – Brazilian Software Testing Certification from ALATS (Associação Latino Americana de Teste de Software); CTFL – ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level; CTFL-AT – Certified Tester Foundation Level - Agile Tester (BSTQB) or ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level - Agile Tester.
