This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Perform both manual and automated accessibility assessments on Keeper’s frontend product experiences, which include Vault, Browser Extension, and Admin Console.
• Assess product experiences in accordance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA standards.
• Conduct tests utilizing assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, voice control, and other related accessibility tools.
• Create precise, reproducible bug reports that include severity ratings, accessibility impact, relevant standards references, and suggested remediation guidance.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, designers, product managers, and QA teams to integrate accessibility into the product development lifecycle.
• Validate remediation efforts and monitor accessibility adherence over time.
• Prepare and manage VPATs and Accessibility Conformance Reports.
• Assist in defining accessibility acceptance criteria, QA test plans, and consistent accessibility review processes.
• Analyze frontend implementations and UI behavior to pinpoint issues concerning semantics, ARIA usage, focus management, color contrast, and accessible interaction patterns.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools and workflows where applicable to enhance testing efficiency, issue analysis, documentation, and remediation support.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in accessibility testing, QA, product quality, or a related technical role.
• Comprehensive understanding of Section 508, WCAG 2.1/2.2, and best practices for digital accessibility.
• Practical experience with assistive technologies including screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and other accessibility tools.
• Proficient in reading HTML, CSS, and ARIA to effectively diagnose issues and evaluate proposed solutions.
• Familiarity with React-based frontend applications and contemporary UI development patterns.
• Experience using automated accessibility testing tools like axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, ANDI, or similar resources.
• Strong written communication abilities to produce clear and actionable reports on accessibility defects.
• Capacity to collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and QA teams to facilitate accessibility remediation.
• Willingness and capability to effectively utilize AI tools to enhance accessibility testing, analysis, documentation, and workflow efficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to evaluate both visual and non-visual accessibility challenges in digital interfaces, including those impacting users who are blind, have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, have mobility impairments, are neurodivergent, or utilize assistive technologies.
• Some critical functions necessitate evaluating visual presentation and comparing visual states across designs, implementations, and accessibility standards. Candidates must be able to perform these tasks independently or with reasonable accommodation.
