This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.
• Oversee the planning, design, execution, and reporting of software testing activities.
• Provide guidance to junior testers as required.
• Evaluate business and software requirements, offering insights on gaps, testability, and testing methodologies.
• Assess program documentation and products for quality and compliance with design principles.
• Assist in preparing milestone status reports and in the delivery and presentation of system concepts.
• Facilitate coordination of Cybersecurity Testing and Evaluation (T&E) in line with DoDI 5000.02 and the DoD Risk Management Framework.
• Develop and review test plans.
• Create test cases and scripts, analyze testing data, and ensure alignment with requirements.
• Collaborate with the software development team throughout the development lifecycle.
• Aid in the software configuration management process and comprehend software components and interface specifications.
• Conduct both manual and automated software testing, covering unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Document defects and monitor defect status during the defect management lifecycle.
• Analyze test outcomes and maintain software testing metrics.
• Assist the test lead in generating test reports.
• Train, mentor, and oversee junior software engineers.
• Support business development initiatives, including conducting technical interviews, preparing technical documentation, assisting with proposal writing, and participating in proposal color reviews.
• Active Secret clearance is mandatory.
• A Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with a minimum of 18 years of relevant experience is required.
• Security+ certification is preferred.
• AWS Cloud Certification is preferred.
• Test Lead certification is preferred.
• Experience in software testing across unit, integration, and user acceptance levels is essential.
• Proficiency in both manual and automated testing is necessary.
• Familiarity with software configuration management and software component interface requirements is required.
• Candidate must be comfortable with extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 10–15 pounds at a time is required.
