Senior Quality Assurance Engineer – US based

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable automated testing frameworks.

• Create automated coverage for backend systems, APIs, network integrations, and intricate web applications.

• Construct dependable and maintainable test suites that reduce flaky tests and enhance release confidence.

• Balance automated and manual testing according to application risks and requirements.

• Lead comprehensive testing of RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.

• Validate API contracts, authentication methods, data exchanges, error handling, secure communication workflows, and multi-system integrations.

• Test applications and services operating within AWS environments, including EC2, Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB.

• Confirm deployments, configurations, permissions, security groups, and IAM policies.

• Identify infrastructure-related issues that impact application functionality, reliability, or security.

• Write and execute intricate T-SQL queries to validate database structures and data modifications.

• Test stored procedures, joins, schemas, data transformations, data pipelines, telemetry, search, and indexing functionalities.

• Explore and implement AI-enhanced tools to boost testing efficiency and coverage.

• Utilize generative AI for mock and synthetic data, edge-case scenarios, and expedited test development.

• Leverage LLMs for test case generation, log analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.

• Identify opportunities to integrate AI into QA workflows while ensuring technical oversight and precision.

• Identify, reproduce, isolate, document, and track software defects.

• Manage defects utilizing Jira or Azure DevOps.

• Provide developers with application logs, network traces, stack traces, and steps to reproduce issues.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify root causes and expedite resolutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software QA engineering experience with a significant focus on automation and backend testing.

• Extensive experience in developing and maintaining automated testing solutions.

• Proficient in C# and the .NET ecosystem.

• Experience in working with, testing, and debugging PHP backend applications.

• Hands-on experience in testing applications and workloads operating within AWS.

• Strong working knowledge of AWS EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and IAM.

• Advanced SQL and T-SQL skills, including queries, joins, stored procedures, and database validation.

• Experience in testing relational databases and complex data structures.

• Familiarity with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, including search and indexing validation.

• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and API testing methodologies.

• Experience using API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or automated HTTP clients.

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate issues beyond the user interface.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (preferred qualification).

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
