This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.
• Seek out and secure new business opportunities.
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with owners/developers, builders, remodelers, general contractors, insulation contractors, architects/designers, and local trade associations.
• Drive profitable sales growth for both customers and TimberHP.
• Generate demand for TimberHP's wood fiber insulation product in the North American market.
• Develop and implement a territory business plan for the designated area and its surroundings.
• Conduct product knowledge workshops, provide training for retail employees, and carry out individual sales calls.
• Establish yourself as the local authority on TimberHP products, building envelope performance, and trends in thermal/sound performance within wood-framed construction.
• Remain up-to-date on state and municipal code requirements and demonstrate how TimberHP products assist customers in compliance.
• Master pricing and shipping strategies, including distributor and retail models, rebates, and incentives for first-time users.
• Travel within or outside the designated territory as required.
• Possess a true hunter mentality, driven by new territories, cold outreach, and successful deal closures.
• Exhibit expert time-management, organizational, and follow-through capabilities.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Be a motivated self-starter with a track record of effective problem-solving.
• Display strong negotiating and influencing abilities.
• Be comfortable with professional public speaking.
• Have experience with promotional initiatives such as trade shows and dealer events.
• Ability to work autonomously and take the initiative with minimal guidance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, along with experience in CRM systems.
• Willingness to travel within or outside the territory, including overnight stays, as necessary.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of residential and light commercial building practices is a plus.
• Previous sales experience in the building materials sector is preferred.
