Territory Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Identify and cultivate new leads: Initiate outbound efforts, referrals, events, and partnerships to generate a robust pipeline with a target of 3–4x coverage.

• Achieve sales targets: Successfully secure 4 or more new accounts each month from small to medium-sized business owners.

• Oversee the entire sales process: Manage all stages from initial outreach to the first payroll processing, including discovery, demonstrations, proposal creation, and closure.

• Establish referral networks: Build and maintain relationships with CPAs, insurance brokers, financial advisors, and banking institutions.

• Provide accurate forecasts: Ensure rigorous CRM maintenance, precise deal-stage tracking, and weekly forecasting updates.

• Work collaboratively: Team up with Customer Success to facilitate seamless onboarding and enhance early retention rates.

• Relay market insights: Communicate feedback from the field to influence product development, messaging, and overall go-to-market strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of B2B field or territory sales experience, preferably in:

• Payroll, HCM, Workers’ Compensation, or insurance sectors

• Proven track record as a new-logo hunter with extensive outbound prospecting experience

• Comfort in selling to small business owners, particularly in the construction, restaurant, and service sectors

• Experience in managing short sales cycles in high-volume environments

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Self-motivated with the ability to strategize and execute effectively within a designated territory

• Proficient in Google Workspace and contemporary CRM software

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
