This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Formulate a strategic plan for the territory in collaboration with regional management.
• Direct the sales process by working closely with management, underwriters, and other departments to facilitate the acquisition and retention of desirable business.
• Build a network of agents that positions Zenith to secure profitable business and cultivate a policyholder base that values our value proposition.
• Continuously enhance knowledge of the profile, book, sales tactics, capabilities, competition, and key players within each assigned agency.
• Ensure Zenith is recognized as the preferred market choice among our agents and identified prospects/renewals.
• Promote early engagement with targeted new and renewal accounts.
• Support our agents in demonstrating the value of our programs and services, including conducting joint presentations to policyholders.
• Collaborate with assigned agents to create a steady flow of qualified business.
• Educate assigned agents on Zenith’s products and capabilities and train them on effective brand selling strategies.
• Monitor agency performance and outcomes, making necessary adjustments to agency plans to foster mutually beneficial, significant, and efficient relationships.
• Gather competitive intelligence for the local market to strategically position our strengths in meeting agent and policyholder needs, thereby enhancing our success ratios.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the agency/policyholder experience with Zenith, including recognizing and resolving any service-related roadblocks.
• Engage in the regional agency management process and actively assist underwriting and other departments in promoting agency cooperation to tackle policyholder issues.
• Cultivate strong and productive relationships with our agents, policyholders, and targeted associations.
• Foster a robust, collaborative relationship with underwriting and other departments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or a comparable combination of training and experience is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in the insurance industry, sales, or direct customer-facing roles.
• Demonstrated leadership and sales skills that resonate at the executive level.
• Ability to proactively seek opportunities, maintaining a natural curiosity to uncover and resolve issues through thoughtful questioning.
• Proven strategic thinking paired with tactical execution.
• Excellent communication and networking abilities; comfortable presenting to groups.
• Capable of articulating ideas clearly and concisely in both formal and informal settings, often through effective storytelling.
• Maintain a positive, upbeat, and enthusiastic demeanor daily, with an open-minded approach.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity while remaining focused on achieving company objectives.
• Collaborates effortlessly with team members.
• Operates with an entrepreneurial mindset and is capable of self-management.
