Territory Manager – Upstate NY, Western MA, VT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Create and deliver targeted presentations while following up with individuals, small groups, and larger sales teams.

• Showcase strategic planning and execution by effectively scheduling and documenting within our CRM; utilize available reports and tools to meet planning objectives.

• Explore and analyze customer opportunities and challenges through effective questioning and active listening; identify needs and propose suitable solutions.

• Develop action plans and schedules in advance to nurture customer relationships.

• Efficiently navigate the internal customer database to locate and document pertinent customer information.

• Negotiate, structure, and close complex deals while focusing on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.

• Effectively communicate SanMar’s value proposition through targeted presentations and discussions.

• Explain and illustrate the features and benefits of SanMar’s marketing tools to external clients.

• Arrange travel by air, car, and hotel to ensure comprehensive customer engagement while managing company expenses.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Adhere to all company policies and standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

• 4-6 years of related sales experience.

• 1-3 years of industry-specific sales experience is preferred.

• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance, along with a good driving record.

• Ability to analyze emerging business trends and assess the viability of opportunities.

• Capacity to build meaningful partnerships and communicate effectively with customers, sales teams, and internal departments to identify and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

• Assertive communicator with outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to follow through on projects and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• High level of professionalism, integrity, objectivity, and a service-oriented mindset.

• Must be a leader who is enthusiastic, energetic, “sales-oriented,” and sociable.

• Exceptional organizational, planning, and time-management skills.

• Willingness to travel and relocate if necessary.

• Must reside in the primary metropolitan or a comparable area of the St. Louis managed territory.

• Must be able to provide a credit card for business expenses and accommodate a 2-4 week reimbursement process.
