This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Drive sales revenue and profits through effective field sales techniques.
• Expand the application of Merit products across all accounts, concentrating on those with the highest profit margins.
• Consistently represent Merit Medical with professionalism and integrity.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients/customers.
• Regularly meet with current and prospective customers to showcase and demonstrate Merit Medical products, highlighting their features and advantages.
• Identify potential clients and acquaint them with the features and benefits of Merit Medical products.
• Keep in good contact with all customers to monitor and ensure their continued satisfaction and usage of Merit Medical products.
• Recognize and act on opportunities to enhance satisfaction with Merit products while addressing their clinical and economic needs.
• Prepare and submit pricing quotes and tender pricing proposals for Merit Medical products to customers within authorized limits as necessary.
• Follow up with clients to uncover opportunities to boost sales volume and profitability within the territory.
• Maintain customer information within the CRM system.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers to resolve any issues that may arise, such as manufacturing problems, delivery delays, or back-order situations.
• Ensure prompt and effective resolution of all such issues.
• Manage the territory efficiently through strategic planning.
• Control customer pricing while providing regular feedback on competitor insights, sharing information with the Regional Sales Manager and colleagues.
• Ensure that all territory pricing, customer, and competitor data is consistently updated and maintained comprehensively.
• Make sure this data is always accessible in a format that can be easily shared with the Regional Sales Manager and other Merit staff as needed.
• Coordinate with other Merit departments, including Marketing and Sales Support, to ensure timely and effective shipping of the correct products to customers.
• Stay informed about the features, benefits, and advantages of all Merit Medical products, both new and existing.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of Merit Medical products and those of competitors.
• Relay all customer feedback to the appropriate channels regarding product needs, potential innovations, and new product ideas.
• Make sound business decisions within the approved authorization limits regarding product pricing to maximize sales volume and profitability.
• Collaborate with the tender team on the range of products that Merit is offering.
• Report weekly on sales activities, competitor insights, accomplishments, and any issues encountered.
• Prepare for quarterly reviews with the Regional Sales Manager to discuss sales performance against targets.
• Engage in sales training, product training, and sales meetings as required.
• Participate in all corporate sales and marketing initiatives as needed.
• Timely and effectively report any Merit Medical-related customer issues through the RGA process.
• Assist colleagues and management when reasonably requested.
• Perform all other relevant administrative tasks (e.g., managing internal and customer email and phone requests) in a timely and professional manner.
• Education and experience equivalent to a related Bachelor's Degree.
• At least three years of direct sales experience, preferably in the medical products sector.
• Strong communication skills to effectively understand and meet the needs of others in a sales context.
• A high level of personal motivation and ambition to achieve both personal and professional objectives.
• Excellent oral presentation abilities and quick thinking to analyze problems and convey solutions to groups of medical technicians and clinicians.
• Capacity to learn the use of medical equipment and suggest possible enhancements in its application.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team member to achieve organizational goals.
• Proficient in business mathematics for calculating percentages and preparing financial and sales data.
• High personal organization skills, including the ability to record and report information and document work performed.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work long hours to meet objectives when necessary.
• An exemplary driving record with no accidents in the last three years or no more than one driving ticket during that time frame.
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, preferably in spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and other relevant software programs.
