• Prospecting New Business: You will be driving to various locations, participating in local cattle auctions, meeting with your local Livestock, Cattleman's, and Stockman's associations, and building your business pipeline through outbound lead generation efforts. You’ll also address inbound leads promptly, prioritizing administrative tasks alongside your in-field activities.
• In-Field Sales: You are comfortable getting your hands and boots dirty. Discussions about Halter are best held over coffee at a kitchen table, in the horse saddle, or on a side-by-side in a pasture. You’ll be out on the ranch assisting potential customers before delving into the value of Halter, and you might even drop off coffee during calving season. You cherish the magical moments that significantly impact our customers.
• Expanding Existing Opportunities: You are constantly on the lookout for new opportunities, including ways to expand your existing customer base with Halter. You recognize the importance of nurturing relationships and discovering new methods to enhance value over time.
• Hitting Sales Targets: You embrace high-growth sales targets and welcome challenges, striving for ambitious goals. As an expert pipeline manager, you don’t hesitate to disqualify leads that aren't a fit. You can manage current deals while keeping future prospects in your focus.
• Customer Account Management: For you, building relationships goes beyond making sales. After the sale, you focus on maintaining strong connections with customers to ensure their ongoing satisfaction, providing support, and addressing any challenges they encounter with Halter’s products. You will also facilitate a smooth transition from sales to customer onboarding and implementation of Halter, helping customers maximize the value of Halter’s solutions.
• Territory Ownership: You exhibit a high level of ownership and take pride in your achievements. Managing an entire territory means treating every area with care and leaving no stone unturned. You value being the representative of your territory, engaging with high-level stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to establish enduring relationships with regional agricultural groups.
• Customer Onboarding: Your commitment to ownership extends beyond the sale. You ensure your customers have the best onboarding experience possible. You actively manage the entire customer experience during the onboarding and deployment of Halter’s product, guaranteeing a seamless transition from sales to implementation, even after handing off the customer to different teams within Halter.
• Field Learnings & Feedback: Gathering customer feedback is not just important to the companies you wish to work for; it is also integral to how you manage your territory. As the primary contact for collecting customer feedback, you work diligently to advocate for your customers' needs.
• Collaborating with Support Teams: Collaboration comes naturally to you; you actively seek partnerships across Halter to quickly resolve any issues your customers face. You escalate problems when necessary and ensure that customers in your territory feel fully supported.
• Attending Industry Events: You take advantage of opportunities at relevant industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with existing customers. You will participate in demonstrations and network to broaden Halter’s market presence.
• Contributing to the Canadian Sales Strategy: You believe that teamwork enhances strength. You aim to collaborate with the broader team to refine and evolve the sales process, ensuring it aligns with the Canadian market. As we grow, your insights will help drive greater efficiencies.
• Driven Attitude & Communication skills: You are results-driven, motivated, and adaptable, excelling in high-stakes environments. You are well-prepared and skilled in communicating with both customers and internal teams. Proactivity is key; you do not wait to take action.
• Ranching / Cattle Experience: You possess a solid understanding of ranching or cattle operations, as well as the unique challenges of the industry. This experience enables you to connect meaningfully with customers regarding their most pressing concerns.
• Sales & Customer Success Expertise: You have a proven track record in creating new business opportunities, engaging in value-based sales conversations, and building lasting customer relationships. Your approach focuses on nurturing relationships rather than transactional sales, aiming for long-term success and upsell opportunities.
• Territory Management experience: You have experience managing a large territory with a balanced emphasis on sales and customer success, ideally within agriculture or technology sectors.
• Problem Solving & Collaboration ability: You are resourceful and quick-thinking, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to tackle challenges and drive solutions.
• Willingness to Travel: You are prepared to travel frequently within your territory to engage with customers and prospects.
• Our personal growth is important. Halter offers an annual USD$750 self-development budget to be used for anything that fuels personal growth.
• Health Benefits - We provide top-tier insurance for our employees, enabling them to care for themselves and their families.
• 16 weeks of paid parental leave for primary caregivers and 8 weeks for secondary caregivers, along with many other parental benefits that support you and your family.
• We value time to recharge; therefore, we offer wellness leave and unlimited paid annual leave.
• We're proud to provide a 401k plan with employer matching, offering a 100% match on the first 3% you contribute and a 50% match on the next 2%.
• Importantly, we present an inclusive and attractive remuneration package comprising salary, benefits, and an employee stock ownership plan.
