This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota.

📋 Description

• Business Prospecting: You will be actively engaging in prospecting new business by visiting local cattle auctions, connecting with your local Livestock, Cattlemans, and Stockmans associations, and creating your business pipeline through proactive outbound lead generation.

• Field Sales Engagement: You are not afraid to get your hands dirty. Discussions about Halter are best had over coffee at a kitchen table, in the saddle, or while riding in a side-by-side in the pasture. You will be present on the ranch assisting potential customers before highlighting the value of Halter. Delivering coffee during calving season is part of your approach, as you cherish the special moments that truly impact our customers.

• Opportunity Expansion: You are constantly on the lookout for new opportunities, including the expansion of existing customer relationships with Halter. You recognize the value in deepening connections and exploring new ways to enhance value over time. Understanding that not every rancher will collar all their cows, you see this as a unique chance to meet your goals.

• Achieving Sales Goals: High-growth sales targets motivate you; you embrace challenges and aim high. As an expert in pipeline management, you confidently qualify leads without hesitation. You can manage current deals while keeping an eye on future opportunities.

• Customer Account Management: For you, building relationships goes beyond just closing a sale. After the sale, you strive to maintain close ties with your customers to ensure their continued satisfaction, offer support, and address any challenges they encounter with Halter's products.

• Proactive Attitude & Communication Skills: You are results-driven, motivated, and adaptable, thriving in high-pressure environments. You are well-equipped to communicate effectively with both customers and internal teams. You take initiative and act without delay.

• Experience in Ranching / Cattle: You possess a solid understanding of ranching or cattle operations, recognizing the unique challenges within the industry. This experience enables you to connect meaningfully with customers regarding their primary concerns.

• Sales & Customer Success Proficiency: You have a proven track record of generating new business opportunities, negotiating value-based sales conversations, and fostering enduring customer relationships. You prioritize relationship-building over transactional sales, focusing on long-term success and identifying upsell opportunities within existing relationships.

• Territory Management Expertise: You have experience managing a significant territory with a balanced emphasis on both sales and customer success, preferably within the agriculture or technology sector.

• Problem Solving & Collaborative Skills: You are resourceful and quick on your feet, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to tackle challenges and implement solutions.

• Willingness to Travel: You are open to frequent travel within your territory to engage with customers and prospects.
