This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.
• New Business Prospecting: You will be driving up to locations, attending local cattle auctions, engaging with your local Livestock, Cattleman's, and Stockman's associations, and building your business pipeline through outbound lead generation efforts. You will manage inbound leads promptly while prioritizing administrative tasks along with your in-field activities.
• In-Field Sales: You are not afraid to get your hands and boots dirty. Discussing Halter is best done over coffee at a kitchen table, while in the saddle, or during a ride in a side-by-side on a pasture. You will be on the ranch assisting potential customers before presenting the value of Halter. Bringing coffee during calving season is part of the personal touch you provide. You cherish the special moments that make a significant difference to our customers.
• Expanding Existing Opportunities: Always on the lookout for new possibilities, you include the expansion of existing customer relationships with Halter. You recognize the value in nurturing relationships and discovering new ways to enhance value over time. Since not every rancher will collar all their cows, you see this as a unique opportunity to achieve your goals.
• Achieving Sales Targets: High-growth sales targets do not intimidate you; instead, you embrace challenges and aim high. You are an expert in pipeline management and do not hesitate to disqualify leads when necessary. You can manage current deals while keeping future opportunities in focus.
• Customer Account Management: For you, building relationships goes beyond making the initial sale. Post-sale, you strive to maintain close connections with your customers to ensure their continued satisfaction, offer support, and address any challenges they encounter with Halter’s products. You will also facilitate a smooth transition from sales to customer onboarding and the implementation of Halter, ensuring customers derive maximum value from Halter’s solutions.
• Territory Ownership: You take great pride in what you create and possess a strong sense of ownership. Managing an entire territory means paying attention to every detail and leaving no stone unturned. You appreciate being the face of your territory, meeting with key stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to foster enduring relationships with regional agricultural groups.
• Customer Onboarding: Your commitment to ownership extends beyond the sale. You ensure that your customers receive the best onboarding experience possible. You actively manage the entire customer experience during the onboarding and deployment of Halter’s products, guaranteeing a seamless transition from sales to implementation, even when the customer is handed off to different teams within Halter.
• Field Learnings & Feedback: You believe feedback is essential to the organizations you want to be part of, and it is integral to how you manage your territory. As the primary contact for gathering customer feedback in your area, you tirelessly advocate for your customers' needs.
• Collaboration with Support Teams: As a natural collaborator, you seek out partnerships across Halter to quickly resolve any issues your customers may face. You escalate problems as necessary, ensuring that customers in your territory receive comprehensive support.
• Participation in Industry Events: You leverage opportunities at relevant industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with existing customers. You will engage in demonstrations and networking to enhance Halter’s market presence.
• Contribution to the US Sales Strategy: You firmly believe that a team is only as strong as its collaboration. You strive to work with the broader team to optimize and evolve the sales process, ensuring it aligns with the US market. As we grow, your contributions will help drive increased efficiencies.
• Driven Attitude & Communication Skills: You are results-oriented, motivated, and adaptable, excelling in high-stakes environments. You are well-prepared and proficient in communicating with both customers and internal teams. Proactivity is a key trait; you do not wait to take action.
• Ranching / Cattle Experience: You understand the intricacies of ranching or cattle operations, recognizing the unique challenges within the industry. This experience enables you to connect authentically with customers regarding what matters most.
• Sales & Customer Success Expertise: You have a strong track record of creating new business opportunities, engaging in value-based sales conversations, and fostering lasting customer relationships. You prioritize building relationships over transactional sales, focusing on long-term success stories and identifying upsell opportunities with existing customers.
• Territory Management Experience: You have experience managing a large territory with a balanced emphasis on sales and customer success, preferably within the agriculture or technology sectors.
• Problem Solving & Collaboration Skills: Resourceful and quick-thinking, you collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to tackle challenges and drive solutions.
• Willingness to Travel: Frequent travel within your territory is required to engage with customers and prospects.
• Our personal growth is a priority. Halter provides an annual USD$750 self-development budget for anything that fosters personal growth.
• Health Benefits: We offer top-tier insurance for our employees, enabling them to care for themselves and their families.
• Parental Leave: We provide 16 weeks of paid parental leave for primary caregivers and 8 weeks for secondary caregivers, along with many other benefits to support you and your family.
• Vacation: We value the need to recharge, offering wellness leave and unlimited paid annual leave.
• Retirement Plan: We proudly offer a 401k plan with employer matching—100% match on the first 3% you contribute, and a 50% match on the next 2%.
• Inclusive Remuneration: We offer a comprehensive and attractive remuneration package that includes salary, benefits, and an employee stock ownership plan.
