This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with both new and existing end-use customers in the Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming regions.
• Foster partnerships with distributors, installation teams, and construction associates within the local market.
• Showcase Shaw’s products, systems, and solutions to end users and key stakeholders.
• Provide education to architects and engineers regarding Shaw’s comprehensive range of offerings.
• Actively seek out new project opportunities.
• Stay informed about market activities within the designated geographic area.
• Utilize a consultative approach with end users, distributors, contractors, architects, and engineers to recommend suitable systems for projects.
• Develop and sustain relationships with distribution partners to enhance distribution.
• Deliver presentations to end users, school boards, facilities management personnel, senior stakeholders in athletic programs, architects, and engineers.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory to engage with existing customers and identify new prospects.
• Strengthen customer relationships through lunches, dinners, and special events.
• Participate in regional and national conventions as needed.
• Establish a presence and form relationships with end-use networking groups in the territory.
• Oversee the territory utilizing CRM and other digital platforms.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience or completion of a qualified sales training program.
• Willingness to travel 50% to 75% of the time.
• Must reside within the designated territory.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred: Experience in athletic field construction or a related field.
• Preferred: Sales experience in the public sector.
• Preferred: Background in the athletic industry.
• Thorough understanding of the product line, procurement processes, and sports field construction.
• Must be self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote setting with a support team across multiple time zones.
• Proficient in managing territory using CRM tools such as Salesforce.com and other digital platforms.
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with a diverse range of customers in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Capable of understanding basic biomechanics and sports science principles and conveying them clearly to customers.
• Ability to navigate complex and lengthy sales processes with a solutions-oriented mindset and a reasonable degree of independence.
