This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develops and nurtures strong relationships with both new clients and existing accounts by:
• Regularly meeting with clients and accounts to showcase and explain the benefits of Merit products.
• Identifying potential customers and introducing them to the range of products offered by Merit.
• Keeping in touch with clients to assess their satisfaction with products.
• Recognizing opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction with products.
• Creating tailored drawings for clients requiring custom kits or manifolds.
• Preparing and submitting pricing contracts for products to clients.
• Following up with clients to discover opportunities for increasing sales volume and profitability.
• Addressing any issues clients may encounter regarding manufacturing or delivery problems, when they arise.
• Collaborating with other Merit marketing and sales staff to ensure timely shipment of the correct products to customers, staying informed about new offerings from Merit, and providing feedback from customers about product requirements and potential innovations.
• Making decisions within authorized limits concerning product pricing to maximize sales volume and profitability.
• Compiling a monthly report that encapsulates sales results achieved, contacts made, necessary product changes, and suggestions for enhancing Merit's procedures.
• Participating in various sales training and planning meetings to learn about new products and marketing initiatives, as well as sharing insights about sales objectives.
• Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of Merit and competitor products, including their advantages and disadvantages.
• Setting and achieving personal performance targets for sales volume, new contacts made, new client sales, and other related sales outcomes.
• Serving as a member of the Merit sales team to enhance Merit's capacity to increase market share by finding ways to boost product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Traveling by car, airplane, bus, etc., to fulfill sales responsibilities with clients.
• Performing a variety of other sales-related tasks, as needed.
• Education and experience equivalent to a related Bachelor's Degree.
• At least three years of direct sales experience, preferably in the medical products sector.
• Strong communication skills and an ability to understand the needs of others in a sales context.
• A high level of personal motivation and determination to achieve both personal and professional objectives.
• Exceptional oral presentation abilities and the capacity to think on one’s feet to analyze problems and convey solutions to a group of medical technicians and clinicians.
• Capacity to learn how to use medical equipment and identify potential improvements in its application.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as a team member to reach organizational goals.
• Proficiency in business mathematics to calculate percentages and prepare financial and sales data.
• Strong personal organization skills, including the ability to accurately document work and report information.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work long hours to meet goals, as required.
• Excellent driving record with no accidents in the last three years or no more than one traffic ticket during the same period.
• Proven computer skills, particularly in spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and other relevant software applications.
