This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Honduras, +3 more states.
• Maintain precise records within the firm's systems and databases
• Arrange mediations and manage associated logistics
• Assist with daily legal and administrative tasks to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Ensure that case files are well-organized, comprehensive, and easily accessible
• Draft discovery responses and legal correspondence as assigned
• Provide clients with updates concerning the status of their cases
• Download, organize, and preserve documents in the correct digital folders
• Track deadlines and monitor critical case dates
• Support attorneys with case preparation and ongoing case management
• Prepare and oversee legal filings along with necessary documentation
• Assist in the preparation, review, and organization of legal documents
• Perform legal and case-related research
• Working hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST
• Industry: Tenant Law
• Preferred: 2-3 years of experience supporting attorneys, legal professionals, or law firms
• Preferred: Experience in legal document preparation, legal research, and case management support
• A basic understanding of California legal procedures is a significant advantage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential
• Ability to work autonomously and maintain productivity in a remote setting
• Comfortable with AI tools or eager to learn and incorporate AI into daily tasks
• Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks while effectively managing deadlines
• Required software and tools: LawCus, Airtable, Dropbox, Google Workspace, Quo
• Skills include: Legal document preparation, legal research, case preparation support, discovery drafting, deadline management, calendaring and scheduling, client communication
• Strong professional written and verbal communication abilities
• Document and file organization skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities
• Proactive work ethic with reliability and accountability
• Tech-savvy with a client-centered service approach
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Application documents and forms must be completed in English
