
Temporary Payroll Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Supervise and manage the efficient processing of various multi-state payrolls on a weekly or biweekly basis.
• Offer support and training regarding payroll software and timekeeping systems to hotel personnel.
• Ensure that payrolls are processed accurately and on schedule each week or biweekly.
• Train and assist properties with the payroll procedures and weekly approval processes.
• Handle off-cycle checks, reversals, and voids.
• Audit and reconcile payroll data for accuracy.
• Conduct ad hoc reporting as required.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Preferred experience with Workday.
• Hospitality experience is a plus.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Understanding of Federal and State wage and hour regulations, as well as tax laws.
• At least 2 years of experience in a shared service environment.
• Familiarity with 401K plans, garnishments, healthcare deductions, and PTO accruals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to identify underlying issues.
• Comfortable speaking in front of groups.
• Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
