This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide administrative support, recordkeeping, and financial data entry assistance to the Director of Financial Operations.
• Oversee digital mail systems and direct incoming correspondence, urgent requests, messages, and files.
• Examine, organize, and input financial information into accounting software or tracking spreadsheets.
• Code receipts, credit card transactions, vendor invoices, and expense reports in accordance with chart-of-accounts guidelines.
• Maintain secure digital filing systems for receipts, contracts, tax documents, and financial records.
• Follow up on outstanding receipts and aid in file audits and ensuring audit readiness.
• Provide general administrative assistance to the Director of Financial Operations and the wider leadership team.
• Assist with scheduling, routine vendor communications, and special projects.
• Monitor online mailboxes throughout the day and relay messages or inquiries within 24 hours.
• Independently manage deadlines and proactively identify missing receipts or documentation gaps.
• Proven dedication to progressive causes and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and comfort with numbers, data entry, and detailed financial spreadsheets.
• High proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive), Microsoft Office, and various web-based tools.
• Capacity to manage confidential information with the highest level of discretion and professional ethics.
• A minimum of 1 year of administrative, bookkeeping, or operations support experience is preferred; internships and campaign operations experience are acceptable.
• Prior experience with coding receipts/expenses or utilizing accounting tools such as QuickBooks, Expensify, Ramp, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Previous experience in progressive political campaigns, non-profits, or community organizations is preferred.
• Easy access to a reliable laptop, smartphone, and stable internet connection.
• Willingness to work extended hours and/or weekends during peak campaign periods.
• Ability to sit for extended periods for data entry and stand for long durations during remote training or job duties.
• Regular use of a computer and/or smartphone and participation in frequent voice or video calls.
• Fully remote work arrangement.
• Potential travel to on-site dynamic field office environments and various community settings.
• Opportunity to engage with progressive campaigns, non-profits, and community organizations.
• Temporary position throughout the high-volume election cycle, concluding on December 31, 2026.
