This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform initial psychiatric assessments with members experiencing behavioral health issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and mood or cognitive concerns.
• Create treatment recommendations, incorporating medication management where applicable and within scope.
• Collaborate with members' primary care physicians and current behavioral health providers to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Review and guide care plans that address both behavioral health and social needs.
• Consult with nurses, social workers, and care navigators regarding members with intricate behavioral health requirements.
• Assist the team in identifying psychiatric red flags and reinforce protocols for escalating safety concerns.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation for every assessment and consultation performed.
• Adhere to telehealth, prescribing, privacy (HIPAA), and consent protocols.
• Complete evaluations and recommendations within established timeframes.
• Connect members to the suitable ongoing behavioral health services.
• Report safety concerns on the same day they are detected.
• MD or DO with board certification (or board eligibility) in Psychiatry.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state.
• Current DEA registration.
• Located within the United States.
• A minimum of 2 years of psychiatric practice post-residency.
• Experience collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team.
• Proficient with telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHRs).
• Access to a reliable computer, high-speed internet, and a private workspace that complies with HIPAA standards.
• Experience in geriatric psychiatry or completion of a fellowship (preferred).
• Licensure in multiple states or eligibility for IMLC (preferred).
• Familiarity with Medicare, dual-eligible, or older adult demographics (preferred).
• Experience in a collaborative care model (preferred).
• Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred).
