Telehealth Registered Dietitian – PRN, 15-25hrs per week

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional and culturally sensitive nutrition counseling to patients throughout the Western region of the United States.

• Perform thorough nutritional evaluations and create personalized care plans grounded in evidence-based guidelines.

• Provide medical nutrition therapy for various chronic and acute conditions through individual sessions.

• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation utilizing the specified electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with referring physicians, care coordinators, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

• Educate patients on healthy eating practices, lifestyle modifications, and management of nutrition-related diseases in a virtual environment.

• Design and execute targeted nutrition initiatives for diverse populations, including those managing diabetes, heart disease, or aiming for athletic performance enhancement.

• Adhere to both state and federal regulations, ensuring proper coding and documentation.

• Contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts and engage in team training or case reviews as necessary.

• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA regulations at all times.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

• MUST possess a current CDR credential to operate as a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) in two or more states.

• Evidence of active professional liability insurance coverage.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Previous experience in virtual health or telehealth nutrition counseling is preferred but not mandatory.

• Candidates must successfully undergo a background check and maintain good standing with the relevant state(s) board.
